Ja Rule has reignited his feud with rival 50 Cent over Netflix's four-part docuseries about Diddy and accused 50 of being "no different" than the convicted rapper. For the uninitiated, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson served as an executive producer on the new Diddy docuseries, titled Sean Combs: The Reckoning, which premiered on the streamer on December 2, 2025.

Jackson's involvement with the docuseries has been criticized by many online, including Ja Rule, who previously called the In da Club rapper a "rat" and a "snitch" in a series of X posts following the docuseries' release. On December 7, 2025, Ja Rule continued bashing Jackson, suggesting that the rapper had an ulterior motive for releasing the documentary that did not have anything to do with helping domestic abuse victims.

According to Complex, Ja Rule called 50 Cent a "cancer to the culture" in one post. In another post, he alleged that Jackson was "no different" than Diddy, citing a 2013 incident where the rapper was accused of kicking Daphne Joy, the mother of his son Sire.

Ja Rule's tweet also noted that in March 2024, Joy accused Jackson of "r*ping" and "physically abusing" her over the years. 50 Cent sued Joy for defamation in May 2024. Later, the rapper filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit in November 2024.

"Hermans no different… ALLEGEDLY!!! 50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) has been involved in at least one well-documented domestic violence incident," Ja Rule wrote.

He added:

"In June 2013, he was accused of kicking his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his son, model Daphne Joy (also known as Daphne Narvaez), in the stomach during an argument at her Los Angeles condominium, as well as destroying approximately $7,100 worth of her property, including furniture, a chandelier, and a television."

Exploring the beef between 50 Cent and Ja Rule

The feud between 50 Cent and Ja Rule is one of the long-standing beefs in hip-hop, spanning over two decades. The beef reportedly originated after Ja Rule was robbed at gunpoint in Queens by one of Jackson's associates in 1999. In his 2005 biography, From Pieces to Weight, Jackson claimed that Ja Rule was enraged after seeing Jackson hang out with his robber at a club and greeted him with a cold shoulder.

However, Ja Rule offered a different explanation for the origin of his beef with Jackson. While the rapper confirmed that he was robbed at the time, he claimed that he never saw 50 Cent with his assailant. He further added that their feud began after Jackson took offense to allegedly being snubbed by Murder Inc. (a supergroup Irv Gotti formed with Jay-Z, DMX, and Ja Rule) during a video shoot for Ja's single Murda 4 Life.

That same year, 50 Cent released his first diss track targeting Ja Rule and Murder Inc., titled Life's on the Line. In 2000, Jackson and Ja Rule had a physical altercation at a nightclub in Atlanta after they were booked to perform at the venue at the same time.

That same year, Ja Rule and his crew heard that Jackson was at Hit Factory studios for a recording session and turned up at the studio to confront him, resulting in Jackson getting stabbed in the altercation. Ja Rule and his associates were reportedly arrested, and rapper Black Child took credit for stabbing the rapper.

According to Capital Xtra, Jackson released Wanksta in 2002, crediting Ja Rule as his inspiration. That same year, Irv Gotti claimed that Jackson filed an order of protection against him and Ja Rule following the altercation at the Hit Factory during an appearance on The Star & Buc Wild Morning Show. While the In da Club rapper denied the allegation, it was later revealed that he did have an order of protection assigned to him by the NYPD as a formality.

Between 2002 and 2003, 50 Cent and Ja Rule traded a series of diss tracks. Jackson first released I Smell P*ssy and Back Down, which Ja countered with Loose Change, where he took shots at Jackson, Dr. Dre, Busta Rhymes, Eminem, and Eminem's daughter.

50, Eminem, and Busta Rhymes teamed up for the scathing diss Hail Mary, in which they targeted Ja Rule for his obsession with the late rapper Tupac Shakur. Meanwhile, Ja hit back with Guess Who Shot Ya and followed it up with his 2003 album Blood in My Eye, which explored his feud with Jackson and G-Unit.

Ja Rule said his beef with 50 Cent "f**ked up New York Hip Hop"

While 50 Cent and Ja Rule continued to trade barbs online, the latter admitted that he lost the beef to Jackson when he appeared on Hot 97 in 2013 with Irv Gotti. According to HipHop DX, Gotti and Ja addressed the downfall of Murder Inc., with the latter suggesting that Curtis Jackson gained success over him due to Murder Inc.'s legal issues and artists like Eminem and Dr. Dre supporting him.

“It was a lot going on in that time frame. You got the federal indictment. Here’s what it is, it was orchestrated very well. He [50 Cent] was a part of the juggernauts at that moment. Eminem, Dre, they were very, very big in what they were doing as well. So, as we were big over on our side they were also big on their side. And as everything started to crumble for us as far as we didn’t have a label home anymore, ya understand?" Ja said.

Meanwhile, 50 Cent reignited their feud in 2014 when he performed I Smell P*ssy at Hot 97's annual Summer Jam concert, prompting Ja Rule to claim that the rapper was obsessed with him via an X post. In the subsequent years, both rappers took shots at each other on social media.

In 2018, Jackson alleged that he bought 200 tickets to one of Ja Rule's shows just so the seats would be empty. That same year, 50 Cent suggested that their beef might never die in an Instagram comment, writing, "South Side rules apply. It's never over. We may take a break, but [it] ain't over till one of us gone."

According to Billboard, the beef between the two rappers extended this year, after Ja Rule criticized 50 Cent for mocking Irv Gotti following his death. In April 2025, Ja Rule spoke about Gotti's passing during an interview on The Breakfast Club, calling Jackson's posts mocking Gotti "goofy s**t."

Ja Rule further reflected on their beef during his appearance on Carmelo Anthony’s 7PM in Brooklyn podcast last month, adding that their rivalry ruined hip-hop in New York City.

"I don't think Hip Hop beefs are good for the culture. Big and 'Pac both got killed. Me and 50's s**t was me and 50's s**t. [JAY-Z] and Nas had their thing. You know how much business and things they probably could have did as men if that little rift or tiff didn't happen?" Ja Rule said.

He continued:

"Then, you look at Kendrick and Drake, nothing good is coming out of any of these things. What did it ever bring Hip Hop?... Me and 50’s s**t, that s**t f**ked up New York Hip Hop. It really did because it separated a lot of n***as in New York.”

50 Cent has not responded to Ja Rule's latest posts regarding the Diddy docuseries at the time of this article.
