For the uninitiated, Murder Inc. is a record label that Irv Gotti co-founded in 1998, to which Ja Rule was signed.Following Irv Gotti's death in February 2025, 50 Cent took to social media to publish several posts mocking the late music executive. According to The New York Post, one post included a picture of Fiddy smoking a hookah while seated next to a gravestone that read "RIP." On April 10, 2025, Ja Rule criticized 50 Cent for his posts about Gotti's death when he appeared on The Breakfast Club, saying he was "ready to go nuclear and s**t" on his rival. The following day, 50 Cent responded to the clip on Instagram, writing:"The Breakfast Club should be ashamed of themselves asking questions that perpetuate violence. This fool has been getting ready to go what he calls nuclear for 22 years. lol Ya man in my Runtz right now."On April 13, Ja Rule fired back at 50 Cent with a series of X posts, referencing the rapper being shot nine times in 2000 and telling him to stop trolling others till he did something about his attackers. According to XXL Magazine, he called Fiddy a "used car salesman" in another post, writing:"N***a you’re a used car salesman everything you do is trash music 1 good album after that trash liquor trash tv shows yeah I said it TRASH how many times you gonna make the same show that coke stepped on parenting trash character trash n***a you the garbage man."The tirade turned more serious after he began replying to fans claiming that 50 Cent ended Ja Rule during their beef in the 2000s. In response, Ja Rule alleged that Fiddy told the feds Murder Inc. "had him shot," which supposedly resulted in them facing a federal indictment. In another X post, he posted legal documents which supposedly proved 50 Cent talked to the authorities, writing:"You’re right he told the Feds murder inc had him shot and they put us under federal indictment…Say I’m lying n***a I DARE YOU. N***a said he had to talk yayo out of telling you can’t make this s**t up…" View this post on Instagram Instagram PostMeanwhile, Ja Rule spoke about his beef with 50 Cent more recently, when he appeared on Carmelo Anthony’s 7PM in Brooklyn podcast, which premiered on November 10, 2025. According to Revolt, the rapper candidly admitted that he believed hip-hop beefs were "not good for the culture," claiming that his feud with 50 Cent "f**ked up New York Hip Hop."
