Zootopia 2 cast & characters: Meet the stars behind the film and the roles they play

The highly anticipated sequel to Zootopia (2016), Zootopia 2, is scheduled to hit the theaters on November 26, 2025. The film's plot, which picks up after the events of the original film, follows the now-official police partners, Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde, as they tackle the most complex case of their careers. This begins with the arrival of a mysterious reptile in the mammal metropolis.

Actress Ginnifer Goodwin reprises her role as the voice of Judy Hopps in the animated comedy film. Hopps is now a rookie detective and the ZPD's first bunny cop, who is determined to prove that she and her partner, Nick Wilde, are the force's best team.

The American actress is popular for her television roles, such as Snow White / Mary Margaret Blanchard in the fantasy drama series Once Upon a Time (2011–2018), and as the third wife, Margene Heffman, in the HBO drama Big Love (2006–2011). More recently, Goodwin voiced Hopps in the live-action/animated fantasy comedy short film, Once Upon a Studio (2023).

Jason Bateman also returns as the voice of Nick Wilde in Zootopia 2. In the film, Wilde is an official ZPD Detective and Judy Hopps's dedicated partner.

Bateman is widely recognized for playing Michael Bluth in the cult comedy series Arrested Development (2003–2019), for which he won a Golden Globe. He transitioned to intense drama as Marty Byrde in the crime series Ozark (2017–2022), for which he earned an Emmy. More recently, he appeared in Jaume Collet-Serra's action thriller film, Carry-On (2024).
