Based on Freida McFadden's novel of the same name, Paul Feig's upcoming psychological thriller film, The Housemaid, is scheduled to be released on December 19, 2025, by Lionsgate.
The plot centers on Millie Calloway, a young woman with a troubled past, who accepts a live-in position as a housemaid for the ultra-wealthy Winchester family in their Long Island mansion. The family initially appears perfect from the outside, but Millie soon finds herself caught up in a dangerous game of secrets, scandal, and power.
Led by Sydney Sweeney as Millie Calloway, The Housemaid also features Amanda Seyfried in a significant role alongside Brandon Sklenar, Michele Morrone, Indiana Elle and Elizabeth Perkins, among other actors.

In The Housemaid, The White Lotus star Sydney Sweeney takes on the lead role of Millie Calloway, who gets hired as a live-in housemaid for the wealthy Winchester family. Sweeney who portrays the complicated Millie, recently featured in another lead role recently in the biopic Christy.
Opposite her, Amanda Seyfried plays Nina Winchester, the rich and stylish wife who becomes increasingly unstable as the plot progresses. Seyfried is all set to appear in the historical musical drama film, The Testament of Ann Lee, in which she will be taking on the lead role of Ann Lee.
