Filming was held in various locations, primarily within Norway, including Trondheim, Maridalen, and the Jotunheimen mountain range. To manage the immense scale and logistical demands, the production team utilized facilities and locations in Budapest, Hungary.
Releasing on December 1, the first teaser trailer for Troll 2 was released in June 2025 after the unveiling of the film's promotional clip in January 2025.
