The first trailer has arrived for The Strangers – Chapter 3, confirming the film's theatrical premiere for February 2026 and giving the first look at the conclusion of the standalone horror trilogy.

Picking up after the events of The Strangers – Chapter 2, in which the protagonist, Maya, survived but ultimately killed Shelly, also known as Pin-Up Girl, the new footage sets up what happens next, including the possibility of a new masked figure stepping into that role.

From director Renny Harlin, The Strangers – Chapter 3 also marks the fifth film in the overall The Strangers franchise, but it is the final chapter contained within this three-part retelling.

The new movie comes from Lionsgate, which has framed the trilogy as a closer examination of the masked killers that have been the hallmark of the franchise since its outset. The teaser keeps the same sense of isolation, violence, and pursuit as before, but hints that things may change with regard to the dynamics between the antagonists.

The Strangers – Chapter 3 officially opens in U.S. theaters on February 6, 2026, concluding the story that began with Chapter 1 in 2024 and continued into Chapter 2 in 2025.

The trailer for The Strangers – Chapter 3 places the spotlight firmly on Maya, played by Madelaine Petsch, as she continues to flee Venus County. Presented bloodied and highly distressed across several desolate environs, the suggestion is that she remains on the run from killers Scarecrow and Dollface.

A voiceover from Sheriff Rotter, heard during a tense car conversation, frames Maya’s mental and physical state after the events of the previous films, while also hinting that she may not entirely escape involvement with the masked trio.

The teaser continues to reveal abductions and attacks by the Strangers, as was the structure of the previous installments. One shot, however, strongly points toward the arrival of a new Pin-Up Girl figure, maybe Maya herself, after Shelly died in Chapter 2.

The shot cuts away before confirmation of this fact, leaving ambiguity regarding whether she uses the mask for survival, defense, or another darker purpose. The teaser concludes with the reveal of the release date, confirming that The Strangers – Chapter 3 will be released in theaters in February 2026.

The Strangers - Chapter 3 continues the story of Maya, the lone survivor of all the attacks perpetrated by the group across the series. The third installment seems to follow directly from the aftermath of her trying to escape from Venus County, as it was hinted at in the end-credits tag of Chapter 2.

That even includes the possibility that the trilogy will conclude with a massive twist in allegiance, considering the teaser suggests Maya might don the Pin-Up Girl persona. The storyline remains well under wraps, but the teaser positions the movie to flesh out the mythology of the killers and push the protagonist to one last confrontation.

The cast of The Strangers – Chapter 3 features Madelaine Petsch as Maya, the sole surviving victim. Gabriel Basso plays Gregory, a resident of Venus County. Ema Horvath reprises her role as Shelly, previously known as the Pin-Up Girl, through continuity or flashback implication.

Richard Brake plays Sheriff Rotter, who shows up in the trailer speaking with Maya. Renny Harlin directs the movie, which is distributed by Lionsgate.
