Stitch Head voice cast & characters: Meet the stars behind the film and the roles they play

Based on Guy Buss's novel of the same name, Stitch Head is an animated comedy horror film written and directed by Steve Hudson. Released on October 29, 2025, the film's voice cast features Asa Burtterfield as the protagonist Stitch Head, Joel Fry as Creature, Tia Bannon as Arabella, among other cast members.

The story follows the titular forgotten creature, the first creation of a Mad Professor living in a secluded castle. Stitch Head acts as a protective "housemother" to the professor's other bizarre, newly-awakened monsters, keeping them hidden from the suspicious townspeople of Grubbers Nubbin who fear the creatures.

Known for his memorable role of Otis Milburn in Netflix's teen comedy television series, Sex Education, actor Asa Butterfield voices the main character in the film.

The English actor's acting career began at the age of seven, appearing in the TV drama After Thomas (2006) and the film Son of Rambow (2007). His career breakthrough came at age ten with the lead role of Bruno in the historical drama The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas (2008).

His other notable performances include the titular role in Martin Scorsese's Hugo (2011), the lead in the sci-fi film Ender's Game (2013), and the starring role as Jacob Portman in Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (2016). Butterfield is set to appear in a few upcoming projects, such as the animated sci-fi film, Rogue Trooper and a Netflix miniseries, Out of the Dust.

Rob Brydon features as professor in Steve Hudson's comedy horror

Robert Brydon Jones, better known as Rob Brydon in the industry, is voicing the professor in the film. Brydon's most recent roles include that of Sugar Daddy Ken in the fantasy comedy film Barbie (2023).

Brydon's early career began in radio and voiceover work, including providing voices for the Discworld computer games. His career breakthrough came in the early 2000s with the co-written BBC series Human Remains and the mockumentary Marion and Geoff, for which he won British Comedy Awards.

The Welsh actor’s most famous performances include Uncle Bryn in the sitcom Gavin & Stacey (2007-2010), and playing a fictionalized version of himself in the travelogue series The Trip alongside Steve Coogan. Brydon was appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in 2013 for comedy and broadcasting, and for charitable services.
