At the time of writing, the post had garnered over 10 million views.

However, it is important to note that the page that posted it is a "parody/satirical pop culture news outlet." The bio of the page clearly mentions that it posts content only for "entertainment purposes."

"Nothing on this account represents factual news. We do not intend to defame, harm, mislead, or misrepresent anyone. This account’s goal is satire and creative parody, not to deceive, offend, or cause distress," the bio read.

The bio further mentions that the public figures who find their content concerning can reach out to them.

Despite the disclaimer, many believed the post, and it was reshared over 15K times. Many users suspected the post was fake and asked for a fact check from X's Grok. When a user asked Grok if the claim was true, the AI chatbot replied.

"No, this claim is false. The original post comes from a satirical account that disclaims all content as non-factual, and multiple fact-checks confirm no evidence of Millie Bobby Brown making such a donation or statement. It's viral misinformation playing on controversy for engagement."

"It’s really hard to be hated on when you don’t know who you are yet. So it’s like, ‘What do they hate about me? ’Cause I don’t know who I am.’ It’s almost like, ‘Okay, I’m going to try being this today.’ [And then they say], ‘Oh, no, I hate that.’... Then you just start shutting down because you’re like, ‘Who am I meant to be? Who do they need me to be for them?’ Then I started to grow more, and my family and friends really helped," the actress said.
