Fackham Hall is poised to deliver a comedic reinterpretation of 1930s English period dramas, combining an ensemble cast led by several highly-regarded actors from television, film, and stage.
The film, directed by Jim O’Hanlon, is the first feature screenplay by comedian Jimmy Carr and is positioned as a parody that mixes elements of Downton Abbey, Airplane!, and a classic British satire.
The release of the film will be in both the United States and the United Kingdom in December 2025. Before the release, people have been talking about the actors joining the world of period comedy and the characters they will be portraying.
Fackham Hall is a parody that depends on character-driven humor and puts a heavy emphasis on the quality and versatility of the actors. The film is about a pickpocket who finds his way through an aristocratic household, a love story that cannot be, and a murder accusation.
The cast features Damian Lewis, Thomasin McKenzie, Ben Radcliffe, Katherine Waterston, Tom Felton, Jimmy Carr ,and more lead the ensemble in this 1930s-set parody.
