What will Avatar: Fire and Ash be about?

Avatar: Fire and Ash will immediately follow the events of The Way of Water, with the Sully family grappling with the immense grief from the death of their eldest son, Neteyam. The story marks a major shift by taking the audience away from the lush forests and oceans to a new, harsh region of Pandora: the volcanic lands.
The central conflict of the film introduces a new Na’vi tribe called the Mangkwan Clan, also known as the "Ash People." Unlike the peaceful forest or reef clans, the Ash People are hardened, hostile, and have a dark view of the world.
Led by the fierce Varang, this clan rejects the core beliefs of other Na’vi, especially their connection to Eywa, because their own homeland was destroyed by a volcanic eruption they feel Eywa did nothing to stop.
Adding to the complexity, the Ash People surprisingly ally themselves with the human invaders led by Colonel Quaritch. This alliance forces Jake Sully and Neytiri to fight not just humans, but a new type of enemy, their own people, pushing the narrative into a dark territory where the lines between friend and enemy, and good and evil, are severely blurred.
