The trailer for The Magic Faraway Tree has been revealed, providing the first glimpse of Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy in the film adaptation of Enid Blyton's classic children's book series of the same name.
Directed by Ben Gregor, the movie follows Polly (Claire Foy) and Tim (Andrew Garfield), a modern family who relocate to the remote English countryside with their three children. Soon after arriving, the children discover the magical Faraway Tree and its eccentric residents, such as Moonface, Silky, Dame Washalot, and Saucepan Man.
Written by Simon Farnaby (Paddington 2, Wonka), The Magic Faraway Tree is scheduled to be released on March 27, 2026, in the UK and Ireland.

The film's trailer introduces the Thompson family, Tim, Polly, and their three children, who are forced to move from the city to the remote English countryside. The children, initially resistant to their new, rural life, discover a large, magical tree deep in the nearby wood.
This is the famous Faraway Tree, which is populated by extraordinary and strange residents like Moonface, Silky, and the eccentric Saucepan Man. At the very top of the tree, portals open to unique, fantastical lands, such as the Land of Goodies and the Land of Birthdays, among others. Through these enchanting adventures, the family begins to heal their distances.

The Magic Faraway Tree features the The Amazing Spider-Man star Andrew Garfield playing the father, Tim, and The Crown fame Claire Foy as the mother, Polly.
Additionally, Nicola Coughlan portrays Silky, Nonso Anozie takes on the role of Moonface, Jessica Gunning plays Dame Washalot, and Dustin Demri-Burns plays Saucepan Man; the magical inhabitants of the tree. The cast also features Jennifer Saunders and Rebecca Ferguson, among other actors.
Filming officially began in the UK in June 2024, with the production primarily based at Shinfield Studios in Berkshire, near Reading, after Garfield and Foy were confirmed to be cast in the film in May 2024.
The upcoming film is based on The Faraway Tree series of classic children's novels by the legendary author, Enid Blyton. This series consists of four books, namely, The Enchanted Wood (1939), The Magic Faraway Tree (1943), The Folk of the Faraway Tree (1946) and Up the Faraway Tree (1951).
The fantasy adventure stories center on a group of children who discover a colossal, magical tree, which is home to eccentric residents like Moonface, Silky, and Saucepan Man. Notably, the top of the tree allows access to a different, ever-changing land each time, transporting the children to realms of both wonder and occasionally hazardous.
