LetsCinema mentioned that three foremost projects would have their trailers coming up with the showing of Avatar: Fire and Ash:

  • The Odyssey by Christopher Nolan
  • Russo Brothers’ Avengers: Doomsday
  • Steven Spielberg’s untitled UFO movie

The plot of Avatar: Fire and Ash is the continuation of Jake Sully and Neytiri's story as they live with the Metkayina clan after the events of Avatar: The Way of Water. The story is set a year after their move and follows the family as they struggle against increasing threats, such as the arrival of the Mangkwan clan, the Ash People.

The Ash People are led by Varang, a more violent Na’vi faction who, after teaming up with the returning villain, Colonel Miles Quaritch, makes the conflict on Pandora reach new heights, thus, Tranquility becomes Chaos.

Almost the entire staple of the central characters, such as Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldaña, Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, and Kate Winslet, are back in the film. Besides that, it goes on to populate and describe the biomes of Pandora with interesting new features and characters, as well as the ongoing clash between the Na’vi tribes and the RDA.

Its release has been delayed nine times due to technological demands, scheduling shifts, and industry-wide disruptions such as the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike.

The film is set to debut in Dolby Vision and has a runtime that surpasses its predecessor’s 3-hour-and-12-minute length.
