This week's WTA rankings will reflect the year-end ranking for most top players. The conclusion of the WTA Finals 2025 on Saturday, November 8, brought an end to yet another exciting season on the women's tour.
Aryna Sabalenka will end the year atop the rankings for the second year in a row. She hasn't let go of the No. 1 ranking since ascending to the top towards the end of last year. She's the seventh player to hold the top spot for an entire calendar year.
Iga Swiatek had a few chances to catch up to Sabalenka but couldn't mount a sustained challenge. She will end the year in second place behind the Belarusian for the second year in a row.
Coco Gauff enjoyed another successful year, winning the French Open and the Wuhan Open. Even though she failed to defend her WTA Finals crown, it didn't cost her as much. She will finish the season ranked No. 3. Amanda Anisimova was back with a vengeance this year, winning two WTA 1000 titles and reaching the Wimbledon and US Open finals.
Anisimova peaked at No. 4 in the rankings, and will also finish the season in fourth place. Elena Rybakina was the last player to qualify for the WTA Finals. However, she swept the field aside to claim her biggest title in over two years. Her victory pushed her up a spot to No. 5 in this week's rankings.
Rybakina's rise came at the expense of Jessica Pegula, who was pushed down a rung to No. 6. Madison Keys returned to the top 10 following her triumph at the Australian Open, while Paolini backed up her breakout season from last year with a title at the Italian Open.
Keys and Paolini will conclude the year ranked No. 7 and No. 8 respectively. Mirra Andreeva peaked No. 5 in the WTA rankings after winning a couple of WTA 1000 titles. However, her recent results weren't up to the mark, which has led to her year-end ranking of No. 9. Lastly, Ekaterina Alexandrova, who recently reached a career-high ranking of No. 10, will end the year ranked the same.
Naomi Osaka, Emma Navarro finish the 2025 season within the top 20 of the WTA rankings

While Emma Navarro was ranked in the top 10 of the WTA rankings at the conclusion of the 2024 season, she will finish the current season ranked No. 15. Buoyed by a semifinal showing at the US Open and a runner-up finish at the Canadian Open, Naomi Osaka will end 2025 ranked No. 16.
Leylah Fernandez missed the top 20 despite a strong finish to the season, and will end the year ranked No. 22. Emma Raducanu had a respectable showing at most tournaments, helping her end the season ranked No. 29.
Daria Kasatkina and Barbora Krejcikova, two players who finished within the top 10 of last year's WTA rankings, are nowhere close to the region this time. The Russian's poor form caused her to slip down the rankings, while the Czech missed a good chunk of the season due to an injury.
Kasatkina will end 2025 ranked No. 37. Krejcikova is set to compete in an upcoming WTA 125 event, and thus will have a chance to improve her current ranking of No. 65 and finish the year ranked within the top 60.
