Former World No. 2 Vera Zvoareva will take on Petra Marcinko in the ITF Dubai final on Sunday.

Zvonareva is still putting in a shift at the age of 41. Apart from competing in a few ITF events, she also entered the qualifiers in Abu Dhabi, Stuttgart, and Strasbourg in 2024.

The Russian started her campaign in Dubai by cruising past Sofya Lansere and Tereza Martincova in the initial few rounds. She then defeated Mika Stojsavljevic in the semifinal 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-4.

Meanwhile, Petra Marcinko is one of the most exciting youngsters on tour. Apart from title-winning runs in Landisville PA, Fujairah, and Rome (ITF events), she also secured a runner-up finish in Le Neubourg.

Marcinko started her campaign with solid wins over Viktoria Hrunkacova, Arantxa Rus, and Harriet Dart in the initial few rounds. She then overpowered Gao Xinyu in the semifinal, 4-6, 6-3, 6-0.
