Here is your ultimate guide to the ATP Finals 2025:
ATP Finals 2025 Groups
Eight players are divided into two groups of four, and each player will play the other three in the group stages. The first group, the Jimmy Connors Group, will feature Carlos Alcaraz, Taylor Fritz, Alex de Minaur, and Lorenzo Musetti. Jannik Sinner headlines the second group, the Bjorn Borg Group, which also features Alexander Zverev, Ben Shelton, and Felix Auger-Aliassime.
ATP Finals 2025 Players
Carlos Alcaraz became the first player to qualify for the ATP Finals after reaching the Wimbledon semifinals in July. Jannik Sinner joined his on-court rival in August, after missing the first few events due to his three-month doping ban.
Alexander Zverev, Novak Djokovic, Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, and Alex de Minaur secured the next four spots as the top seven-ranked players in the live rankings last month. Felix Auger-Aliassime and Lorenzo Musetti had to fight for the remaining spot, with the latter featuring in the Hellenic Championship and the former playing in the Paris Masters.
Djokovic defeated Musetti to clinch his 101st singles title in Athens on November 8, ending the Italian's hopes for the Turin spot, and resulting in Auger-Aliassime's qualification for the final eighth spot. However, the 25-time Grand Slam champion withdrew from the event due to a shoulder injury at the eleventh hour and was replaced by Musetti.
ATP Finals 2025 alternatives
After Felix Auger-Aliassime's qualification on November 8, Lorenzo Musetti and Alexander Bublik were named alternatives. Musetti's last-minute entry in the ATP Finals left the organizers to bring in the World No. 12, Casper Ruud, as the second alternative.
ATP Finals 2025 tournament format
The ATP Finals 2025 will be played in a single round-robin format. Eight players are divided into two groups of four, and each player will play the other three in the group-stage fixtures. The top two players from each group will qualify for the semifinals, with the group winner playing the runner-up of the other group. All singles matches are the best of three sets with tiebreaks in each set.
