Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner dominated the 2025 ATP season, setting themselves further apart from the rest of the field. The Spaniard claimed eight singles titles, including two Majors, but it was the Italian who walked away with the highest prize money.

In women's tennis, five different players won the Grand Slam events and the WTA Finals, making it a highly competitive year. Aryna Sabalenka kept Iga Swiatek at bay to clinch the Year-End No. 1 ranking and also walked away with the highest prize money.

On that note, let's take a look at the top seven prize money winners of the 2025 tennis season:


#1 Jannik Sinner - $19.12 million

Jannik Sinner won the Australian Open to kick off his season, bagging $2.19 million. He missed three months due to a doping ban, but showed remarkable consistency after returning to action, winning six singles titles. He defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final to claim a record $4.06 million.

Sinner lost the US Open title to Carlos Alcaraz, but finished the 2025 season by winning the ATP Finals in Turin. He won a whopping $5.07 million for his triumph at the season-ending event and topped the prize money charts with a total of $19.12 million.

Apart from his earnings from ATP events, the 24-year-old also won the Six Kings Slam, an exhibition event in Riyadh, to earn another substantial cheque of $6 million.


#2 Carlos Alcaraz - $18.80 million

Carlos Alcaraz was the most successful player on the tour in 2025 with eight men's singles titles. He had a brilliant clay-court season, winning at Monte Carlo and Rome before wrapping it up with the French Open title. The Spaniard took a record-breaking five hours and 29 minutes to clinch the Paris Major and earn $2.5 million in prize money.

The World No. 1's biggest earnings came at the 2025 US Open, where he defeated Jannik Sinner in the final. Alcaraz won a staggering $5 million in prize money, the highest in the history of Grand Slam tournaments. The 22-year-old fell to Jannik Sinner in the ATP Finals, but still managed to clinch $2.70 million and finish second among the highest earners in 2025 with $18.80 million.

#3 Aryna Sabalenka - $15 million

Aryna Sabalenka finished at the top of the WTA rankings after winning four singles titles in 2025. The World No. 1 defended her US Open title and earned a record $5 million in prize money. She also finished as a runner-up at the Australian Open, French Open, and the WTA Finals, taking her total prize money to $15 million, almost five million more than the second-highest female earner in 2025.

#4 Iga Swiatek - $10.11 million

The former World No. 1 had a poor start to the 2025 season but made a strong comeback as the year progressed. Iga Swiatek claimed her maiden Wimbledon title to earn her biggest cheque, worth $4 million, in 2025. The Pole also earned over $500k in the other three Majors and the WTA Finals, to take her total to $10.11 million.

#5 Elena Rybakina - $8.46 million

The former World No. 3 had a fantastic end to her 2025 season. Elena Rybakina made it to the US Open fourth round for the first time in her career and followed it with a title win in Ningbo. Rybakina then stunned the world by winning the WTA Finals without losing a match. Rybakina earned $5.2 million for her triumph in Riyadh, the highest prize money in women's tennis history.

#6 Coco Gauff - $7.97 million

Coco Gauff had a decent season, winning one Major and finishing at No. 3 in the women's singles rankings. The top-ranked American won her maiden French Open title to earn $2.9 million in prize money. She won around $1 million after leading Team USA to victory in the United Cup. Gauff was the highest-earning American in 2025, with $7.97 million in prize money.

#7 Amanda Anisimova - $7.26 million

Amanda Anisimova enjoyed a breakout 2025 season with a 47-18 win-loss record in women's singles. Anisimova finished as a runner-up at Wimbledon and the US Open, earning a combined prize money of $4.5 million. She finished the year as the World No. 4 and earned a total prize money of $7.26 million, more than Alexander Zverev's $6.07 million and Taylor Fritz's $5.49 million.
