Tamara Korpatsch vs Kamilla Rakhimova preview
Unseeded surprise finalists Tamara Korpatsch and Kamila Rakhimova will lock horns in the summit clash of the 2025 WTA125k event at Angers.
Korpatsch, who took out top seed Alycia Parks in the quarterfinals, is eyeing her first title of the year. The German has put together a decent win-loss of 45-27 for 2025 and has been in good touch of late, having also reached the quarterfinal at Jiangxi recently.
Playing in Angers, the German has made it to the final without dropping a single set. Besides Parks, she has also beaten the likes of Anna-Lena Friedsam, Fiona Ferro and Anna Siskova.

Rakhimova, meanwhile, has had to battle harder for her spot in the final. She battled through a three-set marathon against second seed Antonia Ruzic in her last match, having previously beaten Mona Barthel, Linda Klimovicova and Alina Korneeva.
The 24-year-old had come into Angers on a three-match losing streak and has done well to turn things around. Overall, she had an underwhelming 2025 season (a negative 27-33 win loss) but did make a career-best run at a Grand Slam when she reached the Wimbledon third round.

Tamara Korpatsch vs Kamilla Rakhimova prediction

Both Tamara Korpatsch and Kamila Rakhimova enjoy playing on claycourts, but the former will become the fresher of the two.
The German can hit the ball big but her strength lies in the tenacity that she brings to court. She has great mental strength and plays big points well, having taken an impressive 16 of the 25 (65%) break chances that she has created this week.
In the form of Rakhimova, she faces an opponent who plays a similar brand of tennis. The Uzbekistani player likes to be aggressive but is just as comfortable in longer rallies from the back court. Her three-set win over Antonia Ruzic showcased her match fitness.
In a tight match-up, the smallest advantage can swing the momentum in either players’ favor. And in this case, Korpatsch’s recent form and easier wins should give her the confidence to come through.
Prediction: Korpatsch in three sets
