The Next Gen ATP Finals 2025 will officially wrap up this year's tennis season on the men's side. It will run from December 17-21 and will be held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The tournament features the rising young stars of the sport, with the field consisting of the year's best eight performing players under the age of 20 years.
This edition's eight-player field consists of Jakub Mensik, Learner Tien, Alexander Blockx, Dino Prizmic, Martin Landaluce, Nikolai Budkov Kjær, Nishesh Basavareddy, and Rafael Jordar. Aside from Mensik, Tien, and Basavareddy, the rest will be making their tournament debut.
Tien was the runner-up at last year's Next Gen ATP Finals, while Mensik and Basavareddy crashed out in the group stage. Mensik is the most accomplished player in this line-up. He beat Novak Djokovic in the final to claim his maiden career title at the Miami Open, and finished the season ranked No. 19.
Tien is another notable name to participate this year. He won his first ATP title at the Moselle Open, reached the fourth round of the Australian Open, and peaked at No. 28 in the rankings. Blockx and Prizmic each won two Challenger titles this season, though the latter progressed to an additional three finals.
Kjær stood out as one of the most improved players this year, sweeping four titles at the Challenger level. Jodar bagged three titles on the Challenger circuit, while Basavareddy cracked the top 100 of the ATP rankings in June.
Defending champion Joao Fonseca had also qualified this year but recently announced his withdrawal due to an injury. Nevertheless, a promising group of youngsters will contest this year's Next Gen ATP Finals, which has kickstarted the careers of some of the biggest names in the sport.
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are among the former Next Gen ATP Finals champions

The Next Gen ATP Finals has served as a stepping stone for promising young talent to announce their arrival to the world. Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are two of the most prominent former champions of this event.
Sinner reigned supreme in 2019, and Alcaraz followed suit in 2021. Both of them run the ATP Tour these days, splitting all four Majors between them in 2024 and 2025.
Other notable names to win the tournament include Stefanos Tsitsipas and Brandon Nakashima, while Andrey Rublev, Alex de Minaur and Sebastian Korda are among the losing finalists. This year's candidates will aim to give a good account of themselves and follow in their predecessors' footsteps.
