Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are making rounds all over the internet this week for their shenanigans. The Swiss is all set to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame, and the Spaniard is back on the tennis court with a top WTA star.

Federer, who is an iconic name in the tennis world, retired from the sport in 2022. He played the last match of his career on September 23 at the Laver Cup. He wrapped up his career with notable achievements: 103 ATP titles and 20 major trophies. He also held the World No. 1 rank for 310 weeks during his career.

Almost three years after his retirement, the Swiss was elected to the International Hall of Fame to be inducted in August 2026. He will be visiting Newport to celebrate this remarkable moment. The Tennis Channel shared the news on X, writing:

Along with this, Roger Federer visited the Swiss Tennis Federation and met young players. Here, he received the news of his induction into the Hall of Fame and also enjoyed a pizza party with the kids. The 44-year-old shared the snaps of his appearance on Instagram and wrote:

"Always grateful for everything the Swiss Tennis Federation did for me 🇨🇭 Loved being back at @swiss_tennis ❤️ Amazing to see the level from the best young players in the country 👏 And the pizza party to finish was a blast 🍕🎉"

On the other hand, Rafael Nadal made a comeback to the tennis court one year after his retirement. He stepped on the court to practice with the Filipino player, Alexandra Eala. Sharing a video of the practice session on X, he wrote:

"One year later, it felt great to be back on a tennis court! It was great to practice with you @AlexEala05! Next time I will be stronger."

Roger Federer made his feelings known about being inducted into International Tennis Hall of Fame

Shortly after being selected for the International Tennis Hall of Fame, in a conversation with the ATP Tour, Roger Federer expressed his thoughts on achieving this feat. Explaining how special it was for him, he said, via ATPTour:

“It’s a tremendous honor to be inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame and to stand alongside so many of the game’s great champions. Throughout my career, I’ve always valued the history of tennis and the example set by those who came before me. It was very special to receive the news at Swiss Tennis, surrounded by the next generation of players, the place where my own journey first began."

He added:

“To be recognized in this way by the sport and by my peers is deeply humbling. I look forward to visiting Newport next August to celebrate this special moment with the tennis community.”

Rafael Nadal recently reflected on how he felt when Roger Federer announced his retirement. In his recent appearance on one of the episodes of 'YOU QUIZ ON THE BLOCK,' he said that a part of him left when the Swiss retired.
