Victoria Mboko donned a stylish look at the Chanel fashion show in New York City, where she met several celebrities, including Bon Jovi, Anna Wintour, and ASAP Rocky. The Canadian tennis star recently also met the Prime Minister of her nation.On Tuesday, December 2, Chanel hosted its Métiers d’art 2026 show at the abandoned Bowery Station in downtown Manhattan. Stars from music, film, and fashion turned out in force, with the likes of ASAP Rocky, Jon Bon Jovi, and Kristen Stewart drawing plenty of attention. Notably, one of the few representatives from the tennis world was Canada’s Victoria Mboko. The 60-year-old praised the teenager for her work on the court."What an honour it is that you're here, how proud we are of everything that you've accomplished at such a young age," Carney told Mboko, saying he was speaking on behalf of all Canadians (via CBC).The 19-year-old even gifted her title-winning racket to the Prime Minister.Mboko produced one of the breakout stories of the 2025 tennis season. The Canadian teenager began the season grinding through smaller events and qualifiers, quickly building momentum with a series of impressive wins over higher-ranked opponents. Her biggest breakthrough came with a stunning run at the WTA 1000 event in Montreal, where she defeated four Grand Slam champions to win the title.Mboko followed that up with early exits in multiple tournaments, raising questions about her potential for further rise. By year’s end, however, she bagged another title, a WTA 250 event in Hong Kong, to establish herself as one of the most exciting young players on tour and a genuine contender moving forward.
