However, these plans were thwarted by the arrival of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, who have gone on to win all the Grand Slam titles over the last two years.Speaking about their game to Tennis365, Ruud heaped praise on both Alcaraz and Sinner, saying,“Jannik could always rip the ball, but one area he has taken to the next level is his movement. You see him sliding, defending anywhere on the court. The same with Carlos and I feel they defend in a way that Novak did.”He went on add that it was sometimes ‘annoying' how good the duo had become, explaining,“You feel like you have them on the defence and in one shot, they are on the offensive again. It has been really, really impressive and at times a little bit annoying how good they have become, but you just have to accept it and we just have to do better to beat them.”Casper Ruud is currently in action at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown exhibition event in London. The Norwegian began his campaign there by defeating Francisco Cerundolo and followed this up with wins over David Goffin and Ugo Humbert. He will now take on Andrey Rublev for his semifinals match.
