Alex de Minaur became the champion of the 2025 UTS London Grand Final on Sunday, beating Casper Ruud in the final. The Aussie prevailed 11-15, 15-10, 15-11, 16-7 to win a massive payout as the tennis season winds to a halt.On Sunday, 7 December, De Minaur faced Ugo Humbert in the semifinals, winning 15-13, 18-3, 18-9. Ruud, on the other hand, faced Andrey Rublev in the semifinals and went through to the final with a 9-17, 15-11, 7-17, 17-11, 2-0 win.Earlier in the UTS London Grand Final, Alex de Minaur had lost to Rublev, but beat both Adrian Mannarino and Tomas Machac at the group stage. In the other group, Ruud took down David Goffin and Humbert, but had lost to Francisco Cerundolo.The UTS London Grand Final had a total prize money pool of $1.8 million, with the winner claiming upto $921,800 for an undefeated run to the title. De Minaur, having lost to Rublev in the group stage, therefore, will earn a little more than the full amount.In addition to the match prize money, there was also a bonus for players at the Grand Final depending on how many UTS events they played in 2025. A player debuting in the Grand Final will get $125,000, while those playing more than one will get $250,000 with the ones who played all four in the year getting a bigger piece of the pie.In 2025, Ruud played in three editions (except Hong Kong). Rublev, Mannarino and Machac also have three participations to their name. De Minaur, on the other hand, has participated in only two editions.Last year, Alex de Minaur won the UTS London Grand Final and took home $833k. He beat Rune in the final, with the Dane claiming $275k for his results.
