Tennis analyst throws major shade at Maldives vacation craze, deems Taylor Fritz & girlfriend Morgan's Tokyo escape much more enjoyable

Tennis analyst Ben Rothenberg is enjoying the unique offseason approach taken by Taylor Fritz and his girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, as opposed to other tennis stars who consider the Maldives as the optimum spot for vacationing.

Several tennis stars, including Aryna Sabalenka, Daniil Medvedev, Petra Kvitova, Elina Vesnina, Donna Vekic, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have gone to the Maldives to spend quality time with nature. Meanwhile, Fritz and Morgan have gone to Tokyo instead, as they continuously share how they are spending time in Japan.

Responding to a reshared reel of Morgan featuring the couple's latest visit to 'muscle girl bar,' Rothenberg wrote:

"Hard to overstate how much more enjoyable of an off-season this Fritz Tokyo trip looks like than all those Maldives pilgrims."

In the clip, Fritz met with local girls of Tokyo who had good builds. They drank and laughed together.

After attending the 2025 F1 Grand Prix in Las Vegas, the couple headed to Tokyo, Japan. The couple explored the country's rich culture and heritage, visiting various landmarks, including the iconic Ichiran Ramen shop in Shinjuku. While there, Fritz is also helping Morgan get a grasp on the Japanese language.

Morgan also shared that she suffered a health scare upon arriving in Tokyo that led to her searching for doctors in the vicinity. She shared her search results from mobile history to suggest the same.

Taylor Fritz arrives in North Carolina for the Charlotte Invitational

Taylor Fritz has returned to the States, it seems, as he was spotted enjoying time with an elementary school in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Ahead of their exhibition match at the Charlotte Invitational on December 4 at Spectrum Center, Frances Tiafoe and Fritz visited Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, where they engaged with students, teaching them tennis and doing various activities involving a tennis racquet.

Charlotte Sports shared glimpses from their visit on Instagram and wrote:

"Tennis lessons from the pros 🤝 Future stars in the making. Taylor Fritz and Frances Tiafoe dropped by a Charlotte elementary school to teach tennis skills and DEFINITELY made a whole lot of smiles 😁"

Fritz is scheduled to play against fellow American tennis star Francis Tiafoe in a singles exhibition match at the Charlotte Invitational. Madison Keys and Venus Williams will play in the other match of the doubleheader.
