Ben Shelton recently opened up about how his relationship with his girlfriend, Trinity Rodman, began. He revealed how they first met in a playful confession during his latest interview.

The American is currently in his off-season and was recently seen on the court for the Atlanta Cup. In this exhibition match, he bested Nick Kyrgios in the singles tournament by claiming a 7-6, 6-3 win. Shelton's girlfriend, Rodman, also attended this tournament to cheer for her counterpart. The couple was also seen practicing tennis briefly at the Atlanta Cup.

On Wednesday, the world No. 9 launched his new digital docuseries on his YouTube channel, "The Long Game." Here, he spoke about his tennis career and his tangent with his girlfriend. Amid this, he was asked about how he met Rodman for the first time and whether he slid into her DMs first.

"We just met through the ground. No, actually, she slid into mine (DMs)," Shelton said (6:27 onwards).

Recently, the duo were seen trying their hands at basketball. Ahead of the Atlanta Cup, Shelton and Rodman visited the NBA game between the Atlanta Hawks and the Denver Nuggets. The Hawks shared videos of Rodman hitting a terrific half-court shot in her heels, and Ben Shelton producing an impressive dunk.

The 2025 NWSL Championship took place on November 22 at PayPal Park. Ahead of this tournament, Ben Shelton's girlfriend, Trinity Rodman, sat for an interview with CBS Mornings. Here, she fielded questions surrounding the ins and outs of her preparations for the NWSL Championship.

Rodman revealed that during her training, Shelton's company was a relief for her, and amid all the preparations, she simply hung out and relaxed with him.

"I love listening to music," Rodman said. "Ben's here, so I've been hanging out with him on my free time, which has been really nice. I think for both of us, like, whenever we're together, we get to kind of not think about tennis and soccer, which I think people think we do a lot.

"But no, we try to use that time as just, like, relaxation and that's what we've been doing. And then, obviously, like, being able to hang out with your team off the field and being able to play, like, board games and all that has been super fun,"

Ben Shelton and Trinity Rodman started dating in March. They made their relationship public by sharing adorable pictures with each other on social media.
