Venus Williams had kept her dating life as private as possible, but rumors about her relationship with actor and model Andrea Preti unfolded when they were spotted vacationing in Italy in 2024. They further made headlines in February this year when the seven-time Grand Slam champion was seen wearing an engagement ring.

Cut to the recent Instagram post: Williams shared the official date of their engagement along with several pictures of the couple in dreamy settings. The first slide featured them amid lush greenery, followed by a balcony photo where Preti leaned on the railing while Williams rested her head on his shoulder.

The next slide showed the couple looking loved-up with their pet, and the final black-and-white snap captured Williams and Preti in an intimate moment.

"Engaged 1/31/25," the caption mentioned the exact date.

The duo made a public appearance at this year's Dsquared2 fall/winter 2025 show during Milan Fashion Week. They turned up the glamour in contrast outfits, complementing each other.

Williams and Preti were reportedly supposed to get married in September 2025, as confirmed by a publication. Eyewitnesses even spotted two sections of the families wearing 'Team Bride' and 'Team Groom' shirts. Despite these, neither the player nor her fiancé has talked about tying the knot.

As Venus Williams continued to play at 45, her fiancé became a fixture at the players' box, cheering her on during the few matches she played this year. At the Washington DC Open, she made history as the oldest player to win a WTA singles match in more than 20 years, and later commended Andrea Preti for it.

In a post-match interview, she first addressed Preti as her 'fiancé' and said:

"Yes, my fiancé is here. He really encouraged me to keep playing. There were so many times where I just wanted to coast and kind of chill... He encouraged me to get through this, and it’s wonderful to be here. He’s never seen me play.”

The Dutch-born, Italian-raised model and actor was also spotted cheering on the Olympic champion when she faced Karolina Muchova in the second round of the US Open.
