PICTURES: Daniil Medvedev unwinds from chaotic season as he, wife Daria & daughter Alisa soak up Maldives bliss at beach getaway

Daniil Medvedev's wife, Daria, posted endearing snaps of them enjoying a Maldives vacation with their daughter, Alisa. The Russian concluded his 2025 season after the Paris Masters heartbreak.

Medvedev was last seen in action in the quarterfinal of the Paris Masters. He locked horns with Alexander Zverev, who earned an impressive 2-6, 6-3, 7-6(5) win against the Russian.

With this loss, the latter fell short in securing a spot at the ATP Finals in Turin. The Russian also withdrew from the ATP 250 tournament in Metz and wrapped up his season, hoping for an incredible run in 2026.

The former World No. 1 is currently spending his off-season with his family in the Maldives. His wife shared sneak peeks of their time at the island with their daughter. In the first story, she shared a glimpse of her relaxing. Here is the snapshot of the story:

When Daniil Medvedev opened up about balancing fatherhood and tennis

During his Miami Open run in 2024, Daniil Medvedev sat for a media conversation. Singing praises of his wife, he opened up about balancing fatherhood and tennis simultaneously. Revealing how fatherhood changed him, he said that it made him more mature. (as quoted by Tennis.com)

“As a player, I don’t think (fatherhood) has changed me, to be honest. But hopefully it helps me mature, a little bit. Many times I’m still immature on the court, but I feel like I’m improving slowly every year. That’s my goal. In life, hopefully it made me more mature also, more responsible. It’s a big responsibility for sure, to be a father," said Daniil Medvedev.

Lauding his wife, Daria for sacrificing a lot so that he can be with his daughters, he added:

“It’s not easy with tennis, because if you want to see your daughter a lot, then your wife has to sacrifice a lot. She has to travel with the baby, and many times it’s her taking the plane and not me. Being on a plane with a baby is not easy. I’ve done it a couple of times, she’s done it ten times more than me."

Daniil Medvedev and his family recently celebrated the third birthday of their elder daughter, Alisa. The couple has two daughters together. They recently welcomed the second one, Victoria, into their family in January 2025.
