Carlos Alcaraz enjoyed the support of his parents and younger brother Jaime during his blockbuster showdown with Jannik Sinner in the 2025 ATP Finals final. However, the match turned out to be a difficult viewing for the Spaniard's family, given their expressive reactions in the stands.

With his maiden title at the year-end championships on the line, Alcaraz engaged in a closely contested battle with Sinner in Turin. However, the Spaniard failed to get his hands on the trophy as Sinner defended his title after delivering a stellar performance to claim a 7-6(4), 7-5 victory.

Carlos Alcaraz also sustained a concerning hamstring injury during the first set, which required a medical timeout. The six-time Grand Slam champion's parents and 14-year-old brother Jaime were visibly distressed over the unfortunate setback.

However, the World No. 1 brought a smile back to his parents' faces with his touching words during the trophy presentation. Alcaraz voiced his heartfelt gratitude for his team and family as he reflected on how fortunate he was to have their unwavering support.

"I really want to say thank you once again to my team, my family. Most of the people of my team, most of the people of my family are here. I'm lucky, I'm really lucky to have them supporting me," he said.

Carlos Alcaraz also graciously commended Jannik Sinner on his "well-deserved" victory and expressed his desire to face the Italian in several more finals in the 2026 season.

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner's clash in the 2025 ATP Finals final marked their sixth tour-level encounter of the year, which does not include their showdown in the Six Kings Slam final. As such, the pair was asked if they were tired of constantly seeing each other during a joint interview with CNN before the year-end championships.

Although Alcaraz joked that he'd been spending more time with the Italian than his own mother, he made it clear that he wasn't sick of their meetings. Meanwhile, Sinner said their frequent encounters had both good and bad aspects, but maintained that they were "very happy" to see one another.

"I said in the US Open that I’m seeing him more than my mom, actually. But I mean, I never get tired of seeing him," Alcaraz said.

"It’s good and bad, you know? It’s kinda both but we are very happy to see each other," Sinner chimed in.

While Jannik Sinner made the controversial decision to withdraw from the Davis Cup Finals, Carlos Alcaraz is set to represent Team Spain at the event. The World No. 1 will have very little time to rest before traveling to Bologna for the team's quarterfinal tie against Czechia.
