Aryna Sabalenka and her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis, currently enjoying a getaway in Brazil amid the WTA star's tennis off-season, recently met the country's soccer legend Ronaldo and his wife Celina. The meeting also featured noted Brazilian businessman Ricardo Faria and his partner, Nathalia Paulino.
On Saturday, November 22, Ronaldo, a FIFA World Cup winner who is widely regarded as one of the greatest strikers in soccer history, took to his Instagram Stories and shared a few pictures from his meeting with reigning WTA No. 1 Sabalenka, her boyfriend Georgios and the others.
In the first picture, the soccer legend and his wife Celina Locks, a famed model, were all smiles as they posed with Aryna Sabalenka between them looking equally delighted. For the next one, Sabalenka's boyfriend Georgios, who is also a prominent entrepreneur hailing from Brazil, joined the trio. Faria, dubbed the 'Egg King', and his partner Nathalia also featured in this picture.

In 2023, Sabalenka and Ronaldo shared a brief and lighthearted exchange on social media.
Aryna Sabalenka playfully asked Ronaldo for "lessons" after catching soccer legend's attention with neat skills

In the buildup to the 2023 edition of the prestigious, year-end WTA Finals, Aryna Sabalenka posted a video of herself on Instagram, in which she demonstrated her skills with a soccer ball at her feet.
Soccer legend Ronaldo, who also happens to be an avid fan of tennis, was quick to take notice of the video, following which he entered the comments and expressed his appreciation for the Belarusian's skills with several clapping emojis.
Through her response, Sabalenka suggested that her skills with a soccer ball can improve much more if she takes lessons from the three-time FIFA World Player of the Year and two-time Ballon d'Or winner.
"I need some lessons," Sabalenka wrote.
On the tennis front, Aryna Sabalenka's 2025 season ended on a bittersweet note. While she did finish it as the year-end No. 1 for the second successive season, her WTA Finals campaign collapsed at the last hurdle, with rival Elena Rybakina getting the better of her in the Riyadh final in straight sets.
Overall, Sabalenka had another impressive year, winning 63 of the 75 competitive matches she played and clinching four titles along the way, including her successful US Open title defense. She also made more than $15 million in prize money.
