The Orange Bowl 2025, the world's biggest tournament for promising juniors, wrapped up on Sunday, December 14, after a week's worth of high-octane tennis. Roger Federer, Andy Roddick, Coco Gauff, Bianca Andreescu, Dominic Thiem, and Caroline Wozniacki are some of the most illustrious names in tennis to have won the tournament during their time as a junior.
The boys' singles U-18 title was claimed by Thijs Boogaard of the Netherlands over home favorite Jack Kennedy. The latter was the overwhelming favorite to win the crown but the former outfoxed him en route to a 6-3, 6-3 win.
Boogaard's battle with mononucleosis over the past few months made this victory all the more satisfying for him. Xinran Sun of China got the better of Kristina Liutova of Russia in the U-18 girls' singles final, beating her 6-4, 6-1. Having lost her last two matches against her opponent, the Chinese teenager played some focused tennis to turn the tables on her opponent this time.
Yannik Alvarez of Puerto Rico and Ziga Sesko of Slovenia captured the U-18 boys' doubles title with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Americans Tanishk Konduri and Marcel Latak. Competing in their very first tournament as a pair, Serbia's Anastasija Cvetkovic and India's Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi reigned supreme in the U-18 girls' doubles category. The winning duo beat Jamaica's Alyssa James and USA's Annika Penickova 7-5, 6-1 in the final.
The U-18 boys' wheelchair singles final was an all-American affair. Charlie Cooper beat Tomas Majetic 6-2, 7-5 to claim the title. The U-18 girls' wheelchair singles final went down to the wire. Top seed Luna Gryp of Belgium eventually prevailed over Japan's Seira Matsuoka, edging past her 3-6, 6-3, 7-6 (2).
Matias Reyniak and Priscilla Sirichantho sweep the U-16 singles titles at Orange Bowl 2025

American Matias Reyniak staged an impressive comeback to claim the U-16 boys' singles title over compatriot Daniel Malacek at the Orange Bowl 2025. He fought from a set down to beat his rival 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the final.
Priscilla Sirichantho of the US left her mark in the U-16 girls' singles field, standing tall to win the biggest title of her career. She made light work of fellow American Daniela del Mastro in the final, scoring a routine 6-4, 6-1 win over her.
Olivia de los Reyes and Emery Combs continued the dominance of Americans in the U-16 category, taking home the girls' doubles trophy. Sean Peng of the US partnered with Serbia Filip Djokic to clinch the U-16 boys' doubles title.
