Novak Djokovic's wife, Jelena, has shared a glimpse into their private lives with a poignant message to usher in the new year. Having been together since 2005 since they were teenagers, the couple got married in 2014. Their first child, son Stefan, was born in the same year, followed by their daughter, Tara, in 2017.

Djokovic's wife has been a pillar of strength for him throughout his career, having supported him through numerous ups and downs over the decades. Recently, she took to Instagram to share some previously unseen photographs of their time together in 2025.

She didn't just share pictures of her husband but also her loved ones. She looked back on the year gone by with gratitude, and looked forward to learning and growing as a person in the new year.

"Ah 2025! So much to be grateful for ☺️ Love, family, friendship, nature… they make life deeper, sweeter, and endlessly more meaningful. Wishing everyone health, love, and joy. 🙏🏻 May we keep growing into better, kinder versions of ourselves."
"I used to think that the quote “I never want to grow up” from Peter Pan was my childhood mantra. But I did grow up and “I never want to stop growing” is the wish I hold for myself and for all of you. Much love, and God bless you, Jelena," Jelena Djokovic on Instagram.

Most of her husband's peers have already landed in Australia for the new season. However, the 24-time Major champion still has some time before he heads Down Under in the hunt for a record 25th Major.

The 2026 tennis season is about to get underway with the United Cup on January 2, followed by the Brisbane International and three more tournaments a couple of days later. However, in a surprising move, Novak Djokovic has opted not to compete in the first week of the new season.

Djokovic has instead opted to participate in the Adelaide International. The ATP 250 event will take place from January 12-17. The Serb will compete directly a week before the Australian Open for the first time since 2009. He kicked off his season in Brisbane that year, and followed it up with an appearance in Sydney and then the Australian Open.

Following the conclusion of his campaign in Adelaide, Djokovic will have his sights set on capturing a record 25th Major title at the Australian Open. His quest for the same ended in semifinal losses across all four Majors in 2025. He will be the fourth seed at this year's Melbourne Major, putting him on collision course with either Jannik Sinner or Carlos Alcaraz in the semifinals.
