Novak Djokovic has reportedly closed in on buying a $23,000,000 worth tennis club in Greece. The Serb relocated to the city with his family in September 2025.After his heartbreaking US Open semifinal exit, Djokovic shifted from Belgrade to Greece with his family. The 38-year-old and his family are already settled after finding a home in Glyfada, located in the southern suburbs of Athens. His kids have reportedly already started attending a nearby private school.Shortly after that major change in the Serb's life, some reports suggested that he was close to acquiring a $23,000,000 worth tennis club in Greece. One user on X shared a picture of the tennis club and shared the report, writing:"The Tennis & Racket Sports Club in Elliniko — a €20-million project comprising more than 20 tennis courts as well as padel and pickleball facilities — is reportedly close to being acquired by Novak Djokovic. [source: @tennis24gr]"On the tennis front, Djokovic concluded his 2025 season after competing at the Hellenic Championship in Athens. He reached the finals round, where he played against Lorenzo Musetti for the trophy. The former World No. 1 claimed a 4-6, 6-3, 7-5 win against the Italian.Following that campaign, Djokovic was scheduled to compete at the ATP Finals; however, he withdrew due to a shoulder injury.Novak Djokovic opened up about the reason behind moving to Greece Ahead of his first round at the Hellenic Championships, in a press conference, Novak Djokovic revealed the reason why he and his family chose Athens as their new home. Talking about its historical and cultural links, he said that he loved the lifestyle."There’s a lot of historical, religious, cultural, social ties between Greece and Serbia that is a big part of the reason why I’m here. It’s also because, of course, the weather, the food is incredible. You are on one of the nicest coastlines in Europe, in the world. I just love the lifestyle. I really feel that the Greek and Serbian people are like brothers, and so this is the biggest reason," said Novak Djokovic, via Express.co.Revealing that it has been a positive two months for him and his family in Athens, he added:"I want to thank all the Greek people that I met the last couple of months that I’ve been here in Athens with my family, that welcomed me and my family members with open arms. They’ve been super friendly, kind, generous, wanting to help, so it does feel, very much, like at home for me and my family members. So it’s been a very positive experience."Novak Djokovic recently hinted that his retirement is not coming for the next three years, as he is vying for a spot at the 2028 LA Olympics.
