Madison Keys, Jessica Pegula, and their podcast co-hosts clocked Iga Swiatek as the most superstitious player on the tour. Swiatek was last in contention at the WTA Finals but failed to advance to the semifinals.
Iga Swiatek has often come under the spotlight for her fixed routines and rituals before and during her matches. Ranging from arranging her bottles a particular way to her warm-ups and the way she uses her headphones. Even her fellow players called her superstitious with her routines, particularly recently, when Madison Keys and Jessica Pegula joined forces with Jennifer Brady and Desirae Krawczyk to agree on the same in unison.
When Keys asked,
"Who's the most superstitious with routines?"
Everyone said:
"Iga"
Fans reacted to the players clocking Swiatek and how nobody hesitated to name her instantly.
"The way nobody even hesitated.. hahahah dying."
Another fan said along the same lines.
"the way they all clocked her immediately"
An X user noted that they would call her 'disciplined' rather than superstitious.
"It's funny they're so unanimous but I'll label it more as her being disciplined rather than superstitious."
Here are some other reactions:
"The no hesitation on Iga please," a fan tweeted.
"why do they all look like they had war flashbacks when they said iga," a fan commented.
"Iga is so superstitious that in Stuttgart 2024 she was playing a great tournament in her all-black uniform and when it came to the semis against Rybakina she wore the full white, lost the first set and went to change but only with the black top she lost because she was half white and half black," tweeted a fan.
Iga Swiatek was already predicted as the Wimbledon winner by Andrea Petkovic for a bizarre reason

It's not Swiatek who has superstitious routines, but former player Andrea Petkovic, who once openly agreed to believing in witchcraft and superstition, her toxic trait. Before Wimbledon this year, the German shared that she saw a falcon or a hawk hovering around Swiatek during her Bag Homburg run, which implied that the Pole would win the Grand Slam title.
"During 2 matches in Bad Homburg, a falcon or a hawk or an eagle (I’m clearly not an ornithologist) was circling above Iga Swiatek’s head for minutes at end. Those who have followed me for awhile know that my toxic trait is that I believe in witchcraft and superstitions. I believe that the falcon, let’s say it was a falcon, was a sign that Iga will win Wimbledon. I actually also thought she played great in Bad Homburg so it’s not only the falcon. But the falcon definitely helps."
Iga Swiatek defeated Amanda Anisimova in the final to win her first Wimbledon title, making rare history by winning 6–0, 6–0, a feat achieved for the first time since 1911.
