Both wounded National Guard soldiers were taken to the hospital. Then, just right before Thanksgiving, Gov. Patrick Morrisey shared that both guards have died.

"It is with great sorrow that we can confirm both members of the West Virginia National Guard who were shot earlier today in Washington, DC have passed away from their injuries," Morrisey wrote on X. "These brave West Virginians lost their lives in the service of their country. We are in ongoing contact with federal officials as the investigation continues.

Martina Navratilova calls out potential decision to court-martial Senator Mark Kelly

Martina Navratilova seems unhappy with the investigation brought upon by the Defense Department on Senator Mark Kelly, who is a former Navy captain and astronaut.

Kelly recently, in conversation with troops, said to defy orders from superiors if they are unlawful. These comments didn't sit well with the Pentagon as they are contemplating concerning court-martial of Kelly.

“A thorough review of these allegations has been initiated to determine further actions, which may include recall to active duty for court-martial proceedings or administrative measures,” the statement from the Pentagon via The Washington Post.

Navratilova called out the decision, writing:

"Fascism is here in full view."

Meanwhile, Kelly has defended his comments, saying that what he advised the service members was their constitutional right. He also mentioned that he is not going to get shaken by the investigation brought upon him by higher-ups.

“If this is meant to intimidate me and other members of Congress from doing our jobs and holding this administration accountable, it won’t work,” Kelly said.

Meanwhile, Navratilova continues to provide her reaction on the country affairs, and most of them are almost against the Trump administration.
