Serena Williams sided with pop star Ciara, talking about embracing her stretch marks, which remind her of the journey, as she felt proud of them. This came after Ciara shared her story of rising from rejection to launch her own record and entertainment company in 2017.

Williams is such a legendary name in tennis that she still resonates across the sporting world. With 23 Grand Slam titles to her name, she retired from professional tennis in 2022 after competing at the US Open that year. Since then, Williams has shifted her focus to building a business career, expanding her entrepreneurial ventures, and collaborating with various brands.

Williams has also launched a podcast, Stockton Street, alongside her sister Venus Williams, and invited pop star Ciara to one of the episodes. Backstage at her NYC concert, Ciara talked about how she was rejected by several labels because no one believed she could make it after motherhood. Fast forward to 2017, the American singer and songwriter launched her own record and entertainment company, Beauty Marks.

Seven-time Grand Slam winner Venus Williams hailed her and associated 'Beauty Marks' with the rings of a tree that signify growth. Serena Williams joined forces and drew a connection with stretch marks that women get after childbirth, saying:

"Like, um, stretch marks when you have kids. Yes! You know, it's like a great analogy, right? That's a beauty mark!" (14:00 - 15:00)

Serena further added that while women often try to get rid of them using lasers, they should always consider them a mark of pride.

In collaboration with the children’s fashion line Janie and Jack, which she promoted alongside Olympia and Adira, the 43-year-old revealed that she wanted to pass on the lesson of always embracing who they were and never shying away from showing their authenticity.

"I want them to always be certain of who they are and never shy away from being themselves. Whether it's through fashion or in life, it's about celebrating what sets them apart and feeling strong and comfortable with who they are," she said, via Parents.

The Olympic gold medalist often posts about her life with her two girls, engaging in hair makeovers and trips.
