During a recent episode of “The Players Box” podcast, Desirae Krawczyk opened up about her decision to preserve her eggs. Speaking with Jessica Pegula and the rest of the panel, Krawczyk shared what the process has been like and expressed gratitude to the WTA for supporting her.“I'm doing my egg freezing these next couple weeks and I'm a little nervous,” Krawczyk said. “It's 10 days worth of shots. Yesterday I did my trigger shot so then I'll have to wait a week to see how my body's reacting to that and then I'll start doing a 10-day shot series and do my egg retrieval which I think is about a 15-minute procedure so it's not long.”She went on to praise the WTA for introducing the funding program, explaining how helpful it has been for players who need to take time off during the off-season.“The WTA, they came out with the funding which is great because obviously with playing you have to take off time and off-season is not that long so a lot of players are doing the egg freezing and it's amazing that WTA has that funding.” View this post on Instagram Instagram PostAfter the episode was released, Krawczyk’s co-hosts congratulated her both during the recording and later in the comments section of the podcast’s Instagram reel.
