Jessica Pegula & husband Taylor announce arrival of new family member

Jessica Pegula used her podcast, The Players Box, to announce a new member of her family with her husband, Taylor Gahagen. She shared the details of her new dog she named "Mabel," with her co-hosts Madison Keys, Jennifer Brady, and Desirae Krawczyk.

On Tuesday's (2 December) episode, as part of the "Winner & Unforced Error" segment, Jessica Pegula delivered a winner by introducing her dog Mabel to her co-hosts and followers of the show.

“I would say I have a winner," Pegula said (1:39). "Taylor and I got a new puppy. Her name is Mabel, and she is a German short-haired pointer. I literally just picked her up yesterday, so we’ll see how it goes. She’s currently snoring a little bit in the background here, she’s a loud snorer. Hopefully it doesn’t interfere."

As part of the unforced error, she revealed a habit of Mabel's, messing up Jessica Pegula's breakfast area.

"And unforced error, she already pooped on my breakfast area," Pegula added. "I don’t really know how to describe it. It’s like a banquet… It’s like banquet seating. My little breakfast banquette. She jumps on everything, and at some point, she jumped up there and decided to go number two. So that’s also an unforced error. Found that this morning. It was lovely."

Jessica Pegula celebrates success of first-ever "A Lending Paw’s Gala"

On Monday, Jessica Pegula shared glimpses from her first-ever "A Lending Paw’s Gala," which helped raise money for service dogs and rescues. She shared photos from the event, which finds her in the company of a dog, which she was cradling adorably.

In the caption, she shared a personal experience of hers training two service dogs. She wrote:

"We were able to have 2 service dogs we trained through K9 for Warriors (+ more), local rescues available for adoption from Buffalo Cares, and support from WNY Heroes who is training the current Buffalo Sabres mascot."

She also thanked friends and family who came out to support the event. She added:

"Thank you to everyone who put this event on, we had an amazing time and are so thankful for our friends & family who came to support us. We can’t wait to continue to grow this event. We are another year of 0% board compensation, just us, friends, and community putting together an event for a cause we care about."

Jessica Pegula also gave a shoutout to all the sponsors who made their noble contribution and helped to carry out the event.
