Sinner lifted the trophies in Melbourne and Wimbledon, while Alcaraz won the Majors in Paris and New York. Their season ended at the ATP Finals, where Sinner beat Alcaraz to take the title.

Paolini, who also enjoyed a strong 2025 season, spoke about her game and plans for next year. When asked to pick a frontrunner between Alcaraz and Sinner, she praised both players, but couldn't choose a clear winner.

“Jannik or Alcaraz? It’s impossible to choose. I admire how hard Sinner hits the ball, it’s a feeling I really enjoy and I also enjoy it on myself when I can hit it hard. Obviously, Alcaraz also has tennis that sometimes leaves you speechless; they are both incredible,” Jasmine Paolini said during an interview on Fabio Fazio’s TV show

The Italian also qualified for the WTA Finals in both the singles and doubles categories this year. She also played an instrumental role in helping Italy win the Billie Jean King Cup by defeating Team USA in the final.

Jasmine Paolini praised his dedication and also spoke about the kind of person he is off the court.

“He is doing unbelievable things on the court and I think people like how he is behaving on and off the court because he is a really nice guy. He is a good role model. That is very good for our sport and tennis is growing in Italy because of him,” Jasmine Paolini said via Tennis 365

She also shared a moment from the Davis Cup, explaining how Sinner even gave some advice to her ex-coach about raising her level on the court.

“My coach came to me and said: ‘Jannik has said you need to do this’. I mean, when Jannik tells you to do something, you just have to do it. How can you say no to Jannik’s advice?” She added

Sinner has a chance to win his third straight Australian Open title next year. Paolini, who reached the third round in 2025, will also be eager to start strong in Melbourne.
