Tennis icon Martina Navratilova has taken a direct aim at President Donald Trump in a recent video. Her opposition to the President, his party, and policies are well documented. In fact, she has been a staunch critic of him ever since he declared his intention to run for the highest office in the country a decade ago.
President Trump's policies have left the country divided. Navratilova has now starred in a video put out by Home of the Brave, an organization focused on documenting the pitfalls of the current presidential administration. The former World No. 1 starts off by recalling her own background, and how she escaped the communist regime of her birth country.
"I defected from a totalitarian regime and like hell am I going to be cowed again and be careful of what I have to say. Hi, I'm Martina Navratilova. I used to play tennis pretty well. Grew up in a communist country, Czechoslovakia. So I know what it looks like and feels like to live in a totalitarian regime where you cannot speak your mind or worse yet put in prison for political opinions. I left my country in 75. I was 18 years old," Navratilova said.

Navratilova then fired shots at President Trump. Despite being angry about people bowing down to his tyranny, she urged everyone to stand united.
"I'm so proud to be an American, but I'm embarrassed for what Trump is doing to our country. I am pissed off as hell about people capitulating to Trump. Whether it's the legal firms or schools, politicians, or companies, we are too big to fail if we stand together. But divided, we fall," she continued.
Further in the video, Navratilova encouraged people to speak up, stating it is the most patriotic thing one can do in today's times.
"If this was the situation for me now, I would definitely not choose to live here.... I will not be quiet. Not speaking out, it equals resignation.... Speaking out is the actual patriotic thing to do," Navratilova said.

Among other issues, Navratilova recently called out President Trump for allegedly lying about his health. There has been a lot of chatter surrounding his physical condition, and a recent health check-up only fueled more speculation.

Martina Navratilova slammed President Donald Trump for allegedly keeping everyone in the dark with respect to his health. He underwent an MRI scan in October 2025, and his political opponents demanded the results be made public. When he was asked which part of the body the MRI was of, he fumbled while answering.
When Navratilova got to know of this, she deemed the President a liar on social media. Having undergone several MRIs herself, she knew something was off with his answer.
"Lying liar. I have had many MRI’s in my life- it’s very clear what they are for. Nobody with a conscious mind would ever take one without knowing what the MRI is for. Feigning ignorance is truly stupid, donald," she wrote on X.
There has already been widespread speculation regarding the President's health, especially in light of the bruising on his hands. The White House later clarified the same was due to a vein condition.
