Auger-Aliassime reached the semi-final round of the ATP Finals, where he contested against Carlos Alcaraz for a spot in the final round. However, the Spaniard's insurmountable dominance earned him a 6-2, 6-4 victory.

The Canadian had an incredible run this season, nabbing three titles, including the Adelaide International, the Open Occitanie, and the BNP Paribas Fortis European Open.

In addition to his staunch victories, the Canadian also qualified for multiple semi-finals and finals. He ended his year ranked World No. 5. Reflecting on his journey, former tennis player Jimmy Connors opened up about his performance in the latest episode of his podcast 'Advantage Connors.'

"Heart goes a long way. Guts, goes a long way. Anybody can win when they are playing a 110%. Anybody can come off and win that. It's when you've figured out a way when you are only 70% and your opponents are 100% that makes you a legacy... I'm happy for him, but I just hope that he is not satisfied. That he continues to grow and get better and come out and win a Grand Slam. I mean, that would be tremendous because he's been around for a while. He's not 22 years old. He's 25, so young," said Jimmy Connors (19:00 onwards).

Shortly after his heartbreaking loss, he sat for a press conference. He was asked about the difference he found in playing both World No. 1 and 2. In response, he lauded both players, saying that they justify their ranking.

“I mean, the ranking doesn’t lie. They’re the two best players. That’s the facts. Different game styles, but both put extreme pressure on their opponent in different ways. Yeah, I don’t need to get into even how they play. We all know. We’ve seen them for the last few years. We know what to expect. They keep showing up and playing good, so credit to them," said Felix Auger-Aliassime (via tennis365.com).

In the same interview, Felix Auger-Aliassime stated that he was pleased with his progress this season and will work hard to maintain his consistency.
