Emma Raducanu has added physiotherapist Emma Stewart to her team, heading to the 2026 season. The Brit previously worked with strength trainer, Yutaka Nakamura, before 2025, but they parted ways in the middle of this year, as the latter was seen working with Bulgarian player, Grigor Dimitrov.
Emma Raducanu struggled with a slew of health issues this year, starting her year with a back injury for which she withdrew from the Auckland Open. She advanced to the singles and doubles semifinals at the Washington Open and reached the quarterfinals of the Miami Open. However, her Wuhan Open campaign was hampered by dizziness, and she ended her season early, citing illness.
Raducanu even withdrew from two exhibition matches in the US due to a minor foot issue. In terms of coaching, she parted ways with Nick Cavaday and trialed with a few coaches before joining Rafael Nadal’s former coach, Francisco Roig, in August 2025.
According to Tennis365, Emma Raducanu has added physiotherapist Emma Stewart to her team, relying on her impressive résumé. Stewart will travel with the Brit to multiple tournaments in the upcoming season, bringing her expertise to support the tennis star.
She previously worked as a tour-provided physio and later gained recognition for her work with the men’s rowing squad of Great Britain.
Emma Raducanu once addressed critics who often call her out for frequent coaching changes

Emma Raducanu worked with Vlado Platenik on a trial basis and with Mark Petchey in an informal capacity before officially joining Roig’s tutelage. Since she had been shifting frequently from one coach to another after Cavaday’s departure, several people were critical of the instability.
Addressing the backlash, the Brit clarified that she doesn't count the trial ones and working with different coaches would only give her a proper understanding of what she wants.
"When you see things like: ‘Oh, Emma on her ninth coach’, I’m like: ‘Guys, come on.’ Certain ones don’t count. If you’ve had a trial, you don’t have to carry on after the trial. A few have been trials, a few have been other situations. I just try and take the high road. And try to do what the royal family would do," she said during her conversation with The Guardian.
Raducanu won one Grand Slam title at the 2021 US Open, the first Major achievement for a British woman since 1977.
