Danielle Collins has been very candid about her search for love since revealing her split with her ex-boyfriend Bryan Kipp. The American recently shared a major update about her dating life after entertaining applications from fans.
In a bid to help Collins find a husband, John Isner, Jack Sock, Sam Querrey and Steve Johnson announced on their 'Nothing Major' podcast that they would be accepting applications on their compatriot's behalf. After going through applicants in search of "good quality men," they introduced the 31-year-old to their top contender during the latest episode of their podcast.
Isner, Querrey and Johnson played Danielle Collins a video submission from 33-year-old Andy, but she expressed qualms about dating a fan and explained that she would prefer a partner who had little to no knowledge of tennis.
"Andy's interesting. I don't know how I feel about going out with like a fan. Like I don't know. But I guess all of the people that applied are fans, right? I almost like prefer somebody that like doesn't know anything about tennis, but I mean, he seems like a nice guy," Collins said.
Collins also revealed that she was already dating someone exclusively, a man who didn't know anything about tennis. Although the American did not reveal the name of her new beau, she did share certain details about his appearance and reveal that he worked in finance.
"I mean, I guess I'd have some like questions, but I have to say like I've been going out with somebody. We've probably gone out like eight or nine times now and we're like kind of exclusively dating. Yeah, this all kind of this all kind of happened pretty quickly," she said.
"So, I don't know and this guy's pretty cool. He doesn't know anything about tennis. He spends part of the year where I am and then the other part of the year where I also am. So that kind of works out logistically. And he is 6'5, blue eyes, is in finance. He just started his own investment firm," she added.
Danielle Collins has previously shed light on her dating standards by sharing her online dating profile on Instagram, where she humorously stated that she was "aspiring to be a trad wife."
"I'm hoping this works out" - Danielle Collins on her new relationship

Danielle Collins went on to say that she hoped her relationship with her new boyfriend would work out in the long run. However, the American admitted that she could be a "firecracker," a trait that wasn't easy to handle.
"I'm hoping this works out. Fingers crossed. We'll see. You know, I'm a lot. I'm not for everybody. We'll see if he can handle it. You know, I've got a big personality and I'm a bit of a firecracker sometimes. I'm sure you guys have seen it on court," Danielle Collins said.
On the tennis front, Collins was most recently in action at the US Open, where she suffered a 6-2, 6-0 loss to Jaqueline Cristian in the first round. The 31-year-old was then forced to cut her 2025 season short after struggling with a herniated disc in her back.
