There will be a massive change in how the players are bestowed with the honors this time. Two categories of the ATP Awards, 'Breakthrough of the Year' and the 'Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award,' will be decided by a jury composed exclusively of players who attained the No. 1 ranking.

The 'Coach of the Year' award will be decided by fellow coaches as per the current norm. So without any further ado, here's a look at the nominees for this year's ATP Awards:

Jack Draper set the ball rolling for his ascension last year after winning his maiden career title. This year, he captured his maiden Masters 1000 title at the Indian Wells Masters and was the runner-up at the Madrid Open. He also peaked at No. 4 in the rankings.

Unfortunately, an injury forced Draper to shut down his season after the US Open. After plying his trade on the Challenger circuit for most of his career, Valentin Vacherot made an eye-popping transition to the ATP Tour. He went on to win the Shanghai Masters as a qualifier, becoming the lowest-ranked player to do so.

Jakub Mensik also bagged a Masters 1000 trophy by beating 24-time Major champion Novak Djokovic in the final of the Miami Open. Joao Fonseca made headlines with his upset win over ninth seed Andrey Rublev at the Australian Open.

The teenager claimed his maiden ATP title at the Argentina Open a few weeks later, and won the Swiss Open towards the end of the year as well. All four players are equally deserving, though Draper is the frontrunner to claim this award thanks to his results.

#2 ATP Awards: Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award - Carlos Alcaraz, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Grigor Dimitrov, Casper Ruud

The Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award is awarded to players who display a keen sense of professionalism. They're the ones who conduct themselves in a fair manner and promote the sport.

Fredric Fontang was responsible for Felix Auger-Aliassime's resurgence this year, leading him to three titles along with semifinal appearances at the US Open and the ATP Finals. Juan Carlos Ferrero and Samuel Lopez engineered a career-best season for Carlos Alcaraz, helping the youngster win eight titles, including two Majors, from 11 finals.

Darren Cahill and Simone Vagnozzi continued to steer Jannik Sinner in the right direction. The Italian won six titles from 10 finals, including two Majors and the ATP Finals.
