Coco Gauff is too busy to come up with a Halloween outfit this Friday. As such, she reposted her Halloween costume from two years ago.

On Friday, Gauff posted a photo of herself dressed up in a Freddy Krueger costume for Halloween. The 'Freddy Krueger' connection is that she is portraying the iconic horror movie villain from the A Nightmare on Elm Street film series.

She is wearing a tattered, brown fedora hat with a red and green horizontal striped sweater. She also wore a glove with long metal blades attached to the fingers. In the caption, she wrote:

Under the comments section, Coco Gauff's boyfriend, Jalen Sera, first expressed surprise over the outfit. He commented:

"Totally never seen this before."

Moments later, he recalled that the outfit was from the A Nightmare on Elm Street film series. He reacted:

"FREDDDDYYYYY! AHHHH"

Coco Gauff and Jalen Sera have been dating since 2023. After she won the 2025 French Open, the duo spent some downtime in Atlanta. Recently, they attended the III Points Music Festival in Miami after the 2025 Wuhan Open title.

Jalen is from Atlanta and is an aspiring actor and musician. Coco's mother was his fourth-grade teacher.

Coco Gauff wore the same outfit in 2023

Coco Gauff first wore this outfit for the 2023 Halloween. Her entire family wore iconic horror characters from different movies.

Apart from her own photo, Gauff also shared pictures of her family members. Coco Gauff's mother, Candi and her little brother were dressed as Chucky from the Child's Play horror series. Meanwhile, Corey Gauff embraces the outfit of Leatherface, who is the main antagonist of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre series.

On the tennis front, Coco Gauff is preparing for the upcoming WTA Finals in Riyadh, starting on November 1. In the tournament, eight singles players compete in two round-robin groups of four, with the top two from each group advancing to the semifinals.

Gauff is competing in the "Stefanie Graf Group," which also includes World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, Jessica Pegula and Jasmine Paolini. Meanwhile, the other group, called "The Serena Williams Group," includes Iga Świątek, Amanda Anisimova, Elena Rybakina and Madison Keys.

Gauff's first match will be played on Saturday against No. 5 Pegula. It remains to be seen if the American can defend her Finals title.
