Coco Gauff explains how Serena Williams served as the inspiration behind her 'dream collaboration' with luxury brand

Coco Gauff revealed how Serena Williams played a role behind her dream collaboration with luxury brands. The American became the US face for Miu Miu Beauty in September 2025.

Gauff ended the 2025 season after the WTA Finals, where she reached the third group stage. She locked horns with Aryna Sabalenka, who dominated the round, claiming a 7-6(5), 6-2 win against the American.

During her 2025 season, the 21-year-old was mostly seen donning New Balance outfits. The American also became the face of the New Balance x Miu Miu collaboration and rocked its clothing and shoes in the Italian Open, Berlin, and the Cincinnati Open.

Reflecting on being a part of these brand deals, she recently sat for a conversation with Women's Wear Daily. Revealing how Serena Williams served as an inspiration behind her dream collaboration.

“As a kid, when I saw Serena [Williams] wear Off-White, I knew I wanted to work with a big fashion house for my kits. I didn’t know who it would be with, but this was a dream collaboration," said Coco Gauff.

Further talking about her experiments with New Balance, she added:

“I realized I like to experiment with everything. On court, I’ve done a lot of things with New Balance that haven’t been done before. Off court, it’s all me trying to figure out how to express myself on a particular day."

Coco Gauff recently sat for a conversation with TNT Sports, where she was asked to rank her top five WTA players. Choosing the legendary names Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, and Steffi Graf, she placed the Williams sisters as her top two.

Placing Venus in the second place, she called Serena Williams her irreplaceable GOAT. Revealing the reason behind choosing the latter as her number one, she said:

"I think I'm just gonna name people and forget the order. I'm definitely thinking Chris Everett is up there, Martina Navratilova for sure, and then Steffi Graf. I feel like I have to put Venus up there, and then number one for me, that's the only, this is the only position that's not interchangeable is for sure Serena Williams. I think that she's obviously the greatest, and I think that her mindset, her athletic ability, her power, her personality and like presence that she led in the sport, I think is very inspiring, so to me that's why she's my favorite," said Coco Gauff.
