Carlos Alcaraz not content with 2 Slams and year-end No. 1 as he reveals two major goals for 2025 season amid ATP Finals campaign

Carlos Alcaraz has two main goals in his sights despite being in the clear to end 2025 as the World No. 1. Alcaraz has won eight titles this year on top of major titles at Roland Garros and the US Open.

After qualifying for the semifinal at the ATP Finals in Turin, the unbeaten Spaniard shares two more titles he wishes to win before the year ends. He wants to win the ongoing ATP Finals and also the Davis Cup with his national team.

"Finish the year with 10 titles with the ATP Finals and the Davis Cup," Alcaraz said in a recent interview.

After the 2025 ATP Finals, Carlos Alcaraz will shift his focus to the Davis Cup Finals, set to be played from November 18–23, 2025, in Bologna. Alcaraz leads the Spain team, which also includes Jaume Munar, Pedro Martínez, Marcel Granollers, and Pablo Carreño Busta.

Carlos Alcaraz to face Felix Auger-Aliassime in the ATP Finals semifinal

Carlos Alcaraz went undefeated in the group stage of the ATP Finals, as he defeated Lorenzo Musetti 6-4, 6-1 in his final group match to go 3-0 in the Jimmy Connors Group. The win ensured Alcaraz will finish the season as the year-end world No. 1.

"It means the world to me, to be honest. The year-end number one is always a goal," Alcaraz said about the key achievement. "At the beginning of the year I saw number one really far away, with Jannik winning almost every tournament he plays."Then in the last three, four tournaments of the year, [I was] fighting toe-to-toe with Jannik for this spot, and then finally I got it. For me, it means everything."

Carlos Alcaraz is now scheduled to face Felix Auger-Aliassime, who defeated World No. 3 Alexander Zverev to set up a semifinal date. The Spaniard is really excited and is looking forward to winning the tournament in Turin.

"Probably. Obviously, it was a really important goal for me to end the year as the No. 1, but this tournament is also really important to me," Alcaraz added.

"I'm excited about qualifying for the semi-final, giving myself a chance to play another semi-final here and hopefully get into the final, so we will see. I would say part of the job is done, but the rest of the job is still going, so I'm excited to keep going."

The 2025 ATP Finals have come down to four players. Carlos Alcaraz and Felix Auger-Aliassime will play in one semifinal, whereas World No. 2 Jannik Sinner will take on Alex de Minaur in the other semifinal.
