Ben Shelton's soccer star girlfriend Trinity Rodman dances her heart out with teammates to unwind ahead of NWSL Championship final

Ben Shelton’s girlfriend, Trinity Rodman, was seen trying a new TikTok trend with her Washington Spirit teammates. The forward is expected to play in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) final on Sunday.

Rodman was one of the youngest players ever drafted into the NWSL. She helped the Washington Spirit win the league in 2021 and also won a gold medal with Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics last summer.

The American was spotted dancing with her teammates, Gift Monday and Croix Bethune, ahead of their NWSL final against Gotham FC. Rodman is likely to be in the starting lineup for this important match-up.

Ben Shelton and Trinity Rodman first sparked dating rumors in early 2025. They confirmed their relationship on Instagram in March of that year.

The couple is often seen supporting each other at events. Trinity watched Shelton’s matches at Wimbledon and the US Open, while he attended one of her league games in September.

Rodman has struggled with injuries throughout the season. She spoke about the challenges of being sidelined and said she is staying positive before the NWSL final.

"I’m a pretty positive, happy, just energetic person in general, and when I’m not, I’ll hide it and still be happy. I’d never really dealt with something like that. So, for me, mentally, it was very difficult," Trinity Rodman said

“I want to play, the team wants me to play, [and] the fans want to see me play,” she said. I am learning from my mistakes; the team and staff are learning from the mistakes we made. We’re going to ease into it so I can be healthy for the playoffs because that’s important.”

Ben Shelton has raised his level in the past few years. The American was ranked outside the top 20 in 2024, but is now inside the top 10 in the world.

Trinity Rodman wrote a heartfelt message for him this month, praising his perseverance on the main tour. She credited him for all the hard work he has put in this season.

"What a year... #6 in the world. You've worked so hard this year and put in so much work. Through adversities and loses you have continued to thrive. You prove the doubters wrong and amaze me everyday. Breaking into the top ten this year and continuing to move up has been the most rewarding thing to see," Ben Shelton's girlfriend said

Shelton couldn’t make a deep run at the ATP Finals, but he won his first Masters 1000 title at the Canadian Open. He also reached the semifinals of the Australian Open and finished as the runner-up in Munich.
