"Attach your most recent bank statement" - Danielle Collins sends cheeky message to fan after receiving bizarre 'power couple' message

Danielle Collins cheekily responded to a fan who slid into her DMs with an inappropriate comment after she stated that emotional availability isn’t the reason for being single, but one’s forehand is. She had postponed her retirement plans to play in the 2025 season.

Collins had forged a successful tennis career, reaching a career-high of No. 7 in singles. She was an Australian Open finalist in 2022 and won the Miami Open title in 2024, besides three more singles titles. The American announced in 2024 that it would be her last season, but later that year, she expressed her wish to go for another year.

Dealing with a herniated disc in her back and chronic health issues like Rheumatoid Arthritis and Endometriosis, Collins last competed at the US Open this year, where she lost to Jaqueline Cristian in straight sets. Since then, she hasn't been seen in action on the court, but has been a mainstay on social media.

Collins posted a story highlighting a tennis-related witty quote, expressing that she related to the lines and wants more of such content on her ‘For You’ page.

"Nobody will ever truly love you in this life, unless you have a good forehead. The reason you are single and alone isn't because of your emotional unavailability. It's because your forehead sucks. Your peers will never consider you their equal, unless you sit that ass down on the baseline and route that ball."

A fan sent her a direct message, inappropriately hinting at her with a “power couple” reference, writing:

"lmk if you wanna be a power couple. I got a nasty forehand and the opposite of a temper"

Danielle Collins shared the screenshot of her DM on her story, cheekily responding to the fan, saying:

"I'll tell you what.. if anyone has the balls to slide into my DM like this just make sure to attach your most recent bank statement while you're at it."

Collins has parted ways with her boyfriend, Bryan Kipp, as confirmed in a podcast in October 2025.

Danielle Collins has been planning her retirement since 2024, and with her season concluding at the 2025 US Open, her official retirement is expected to follow soon. In an interview with Pickleball.com in October, the American expressed her wish to play professional pickleball, following in the footsteps of Eugenie Bouchard and Jack Sock.

"I would definitely consider playing a tournament, especially like it would be so cool to get to play with some of the people that I've, you know, played tennis with and go out there and see what I can do. I mean, I definitely think it would be a little bit of a transition switching over from tennis to pickleball, and I certainly would need a coach and some guidance to kind of up my game, but yeah, it would be so cool to go out there and try to compete," Collins said. Danielle Collins played collegiate tennis at the University of Virginia, winning two singles titles during her sophomore and senior years.
