This week's ATP rankings update also doubles up as the year-end ranking for most big names. The battle for the top spot played out until the very end. Despite Jannik Sinner's triumph over Carlos Alcaraz in the final of the ATP Finals 2025 on Sunday, November 16, the Spaniard still clinched the year-end No. 1 ranking.

Alcaraz will end the season atop the rankings for the second time following the 2022 season. Sinner, who finished atop the summit last year, will wrap up the current season in second place. Alcaraz's tally of 12,050 points and Sinner's total of 11,500 points makes it the second time since 2016 when two players have finished the season with at least 11,000 points.

Andy Murray was the year-end No. 1 in 2016 with 12,410 points, followed by Novak Djokovic as the No. 2 with 11,780 points. The dominance of Alcaraz and Sinner is evident by the disparity in ranking points between them and the next player, Alexander Zverev. The German will end the season at No. 3 with 5,160 points.

Despite playing a limited schedule, Djokovic did enough to finish the year at No. 4. Felix Auger-Aliassime's resurgence since August led to a semifinal showing at the ATP Finals, as well as a top five debut at No. 5. Taylor Fritz will end the year as the top-ranked American for the fifth consecutive year. He will conclude 2025 ranked No. 6.

Alex de Minaur, who also made the last four at the ATP Finals, will finish the year ranked No. 7. Lorenzo Musetti will finish the season within the top 10 of the ATP rankings for the first time at No. 8. Ben Shelton also secured his maiden top 10 finish, and will end the year at No. 9. Despite ending his season prematurely due to an injury, Jack Draper will finish the year at No. 10.

Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev were a regular fixture within the top 10 of the ATP rankings since the start of the decade. However, they bounced in and out of the region this season due to their inconsistent performances.

Medvedev and Rublev both finished within the top 10 of the ATP rankings every year since 2019 and 2020 respectively. However, their streaks have come to an end now. The former will end the 2025 season ranked No. 13, while the latter will be ranked No. 16.

Joao Fonseca and Learner Tien, the highest-ranked teenagers within the top 100 of the ATP rankings, will end their breakout season ranked No. 24 and No. 29 respectively. Frances Tiafoe will be ranked No. 30, his lowest year-end finish and his first outside of the top 20 since 2021.

After finishing seven consecutive years within the top 15, including five within the top 10, Stefanos Tsitsipas will finish the 2025 season ranked No. 34. Grigor Dimitrov's injury-curtailed season will secure him a year-end finish of No. 44, after being ranked No. 10 at the end of 2024.
