The exhibition season continues in the US, with the Atlanta Cup 2025 being the next event in line. It will be held on Saturday, December 6, with four of the most well-known names in the business headlining it.
Fans were delighted by the likes of Venus Williams and Taylor Fritz, among others, at the Charlotte Invitational on Thursday. December marks a lean period on the tour with most top players enjoying the off-season and training for the next season.
However, a few of them do take some time to make a quick appearance at an exhibition to get some reps in. On that note, here's everything to know about this year's edition of the Atlanta Cup:
Atlanta Cup 2025: Players and Preview

World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, along with fellow four-time Major champion Naomi Osaka, are the top dogs leading the field. Home favorite and top 10 player Ben Shelton, and former Wimbledon runner-up Nick Kyrgios, complete the line-up.
Despite being two of the most accomplished women on the tour, Sabalenka and Osaka's paths haven't crossed that often. They've met only once at the WTA level, at the US Open 2018. Osaka went on to win the title, and beat Sabalenka in three sets in the fourth round. The latter was the only player to win a set against her that year.
Sabalenka won four titles in 2025, and was the runner-up at five other tournaments. Osaka reached a couple of finals, along with the semifinals of the US Open. They locked horns in another exhibition earlier this year, and Sabalenka came out on top back then. A similar outcome could be on the cards in Atlanta.
Shelton established himself as a top player this year, capturing his maiden Masters 1000 title and cracking the top five of the rankings. Kyrgios, meanwhile, played a handful of matches before being sidelined due to his injury woes, which have plagued him since 2023. The American will be the massive favorite to win considering his opponent's lack of match play.
