Norrie ousted three home favorites on the trot, that too in three sets each, to reach the semifinals. He fought past Valentin Royer, Arthur Cazaux, and Kyrian Jacquet to set up a semifinal showdown against Lorenzo Sonego. The Brit had a sense of deja vu once again after going down a set.
However, like he has done all week, Norrie managed to stage yet another turnaround. He broke Sonego's serve twice in the second set to take it, and needed only one break of serve in the third set to wrap up a 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 comeback win.
Following routine wins over Ugo Blanchet and Moez Echargui, Tien dropped his first set of the tournament against Matteo Berrerttini in the quarterfinals. He turned the tables on the Italian to score a 5-7, 6-2, 6-3 win. He was up against Vitaliy Sachko in the semifinals.
The first set was a walk in the park for Tien, claiming it for the loss of only one game. While the second set was fairly competitive, the American teenager needed only one break of serve to seal a 6-1, 6-4 victory.

Norrie has been tested every step of the way but has found an extra gear when needed to reach the Moselle Open final for the second consecutive year. All of his matches have gone the distance this week, and he has overturned a one-set deficit in three of them.
Norrie is through to his 11th career final, and his first since his runner-up finish here a year ago. Tien, meanwhile, has advanced to the final quite comfortably, dropping only one set so far.
